We remind all customers that since 14.04.2010 the German customs authorities no longer clear goods at the border if the recipient does not have an EORI number or is unable to provide a copy of the application. This applies only for companies, not for private individuals. We urgently advise our customers and partners to either put the EORI number on the invoice or enclose a copy of the application with each shipment. This is the only way to ensure smooth transport across the border.

Please bear in mind that this procedure will eventually be applied for all companies in the EU, which means that you need to apply for the EORI number in good time if you ship to other EU countries as well.
